The bridge has a total length of about 1097m, comprising a bow-string with a trussed arch main span of about 280m with two decks 45m apart. The upper deck is for railway service with two railway lines and the lower deck is for road service with four lanes. The upper deck is a pre-stressed concrete box girder in the spans outside the arch while in the main span is a composite steel-concrete double I girder. The lower deck is a double-box composite girder in the main span and a concrete ribbed slab in the in the side spans.
