The bridge over the Sado River is located near the village of Santa Margarida do Sado. It has a total length of 899m, constituted by three independent structures: the central bridge with a length of 279m (current spans of 36m and a major span of 64m) and 2 access viaducts of 238m (29+5×36+29m) and 382m each (29+9×36+29m). The deck is all made by precast prestressed beams and precast slab completed with in-situ cast concrete. All the foundations are indirect, made by 1,50m concrete bored piles.
